About Me

I started off in 1992 with using a Canon EOS 1000N, and went through EOS 300 and EOS 50E until I switched to digital photography when I purchased a EOS 350D, then moving to using a EOS 550D and on occasions I also use a Fuji Finepix HS20. Nowadays I have upgraded to a Canon EOS 7D and will in the time to come expand the lense selection. Beside a Canon EF 50mm F/1.4 my gear should include a Tamron 28-70mm F/2.8 and a Tamron 70-200mm F/2.8.

There’s said to be two kinds of photographers: the ones that believe that a picture should be "good enough" as shot and others that use filters and image manipulation with Photoshop or some other software to get a better/corrected result. Personally I think I fit more in the first category as I do believe photography is about capturing the moment, without enhancing or distorting it.

My work is not always for a client, as I do make photos for my own pleasure, and if I were to select a favourite category I would say that taking pictures of various places and their architecture, sculptures and ornaments is something I like. I tend not to tread down the same paths as traditional travel photography with taking pictures of the main landmarks, rather walk around and discover things as I walk along.
